Легендарный кубинский экс-боец UFC Йоэль Ромеро проведёт поединок на голых кулаках в Санкт-Петербурге. Его соперником станет Вагаб Вагабов — один из самых ярких и опасных бойцов кулачных лиг в России.
Бой Ромеро и Вагабова станет главным событием турнира IBA Bare Knuckle #4. Поединок состоится по правилам кулачных боёв — 5 раундов по 2 минуты.
Йоэль Ромеро — бывший претендент на титул чемпиона UFC в среднем весе, трижды сражавшийся за пояс организации. За карьеру в смешанных единоборствах кубинец провёл 23 боя, одержав 16 побед при 7 поражениях. С 2021 года Ромеро выступал в Bellator, а затем успешно попробовал себя в лигах Dirty Boxing и BKFC, где одержал досрочные победы.
В своём последнем поединке Ромеро встретился с Тео Дукасом на турнире BKFC 80 в Голливуде (США) и победил техническим нокаутом во втором раунде.
Вагаб Вагабов в феврале на турнире RCC Fair Fight 29 провёл бой против Арсения Смирнова и одержал победу нокаутом уже в первом раунде. В его профессиональном рекорде — 24 победы, 1 поражение и 1 ничья.
